Second CSRG race of 2026 season at Laguna Seca.
I managed to shoot practice day only, then came back on Saturday with my family to camp at Laguna Seca (Grand Prix area) and show my two-year-olds around the paddock and racing cars going down the corkscrew corner.
Both enjoyed rowdy engine noise, sudden car appearance and sensation of something special (perhaps a tad bit naughty) taking place. I don’t think kids will remember the trip, but I won’t forget the feeling of running on an open windy hill from side to side with a kid on my shoulders.
CRSG is lovely to shoot — so much variety and a great mix of colors!
The camping itself was very tiring (especially for my wife), but enjoyable nonetheless. It felt like having a life again, even if for a brief moment.
